Yoga Will is a family-friendly yoga studio based in north Singapore. The studio was founded by Phyllis, a dynamic and fun-loving yoga teacher who loves interacting with people and sharing her knowledge with her students. The philosophy behind Yoga Will is that if the mind and heart is willing, everything is possible. Phyllis encourages herself and her students to apply this profound idea in every aspect of life-be it work or relationships. Phyllis says (a bit cheekily) that her studio, Yoga Will ‘’surprise you” and Yoga Will “make you strong”.
A clever play on words, we say!
A specialty of her studio is that she conducts yoga classes for kids. The asanas are taught by way of yoga games, which teaches little ones the value of cooperation. Phyllis avers that yoga and meditation techniques have a calming effect on children and it teaches them mindfulness.
Yoga Will recently celebrated their 1-year Anniversary Bash.
The theme for the bash was “Partner Yoga”, where you could come in with your partner or find friends at the event, to do asanas which required cooperation and trust between two people.
To mark the celebration and to engage and inspire its patrons, Yoga Will got Yoga Temporary tattoos from Gumtoo.
Yoga Will believes in supporting local brands, and Gumtoo being a Singaporean brand, Phyllis wanted to partner with us. Food for the bash was also sourced from local brands and home-bakers.
Guests enjoyed applying the tattoos, and the design was loved by all.
A week after the event, Phyllis met a kid who had attended the bash. She told her happily that the tattoo was intact even after a week!
